Why You Need Help
Starting your own business can be both exciting and daunting. The joys of being your own boss need to be balanced against the fact that you are more than likely going to be working many more hours than you used to, and probably for a smaller return if measured on a per hour basis. Factor in the disruption to your personal life and the constant worry over sales, cashflow and red tape means that starting your own business is often be a much harder proposition than most people think.

Growing your own business has many challenges too. Owners too often get sucked into working "in" their business by doing all the day-to-day things, but rarely are able to separate themselves from the business to work "on" it. Having your own business often means that you have no-one to talk to who is able to understand your issues, someone who can offer professional advice and guidance and above all who is completely ojective.

How I help
There are nine fundamental questions to be answered before any business can be successfully started or grown. I help you to get these answers and then to put in place plans, actions and deadlines to ensure that what needs to happen actually takes place. The questions are:

2. Who is your target market?
3. What separates you from your competition?
4. What are your financial goals for the business, and how big do you want to be?
5. What needs to happen to achieve these financial goals?
6. What are the key operational, people, sales, marketing or financial issues that need to be addressed in your business?
7. Why do you want to run your own business?
8. Where do your skills fall short of those that are required to be successful?
9. How and why might you want to exit your business?
